Menstrual hygiene management (MHM) or menstrual health and hygiene (MHH) is about access to menstrual hygiene products to absorb or collect menstrual blood, privacy to change the materials, and access to facilities to dispose of used menstrual management materials. It can also include the "broader systemic factors that link menstruation with health, well-being, gender equality, education, equity, empowerment, and rights". Menstrual hygiene management can be particularly challenging for girls and women in rural areas, where clean water and toilet facilities are often inadequate. Menstruation can be a barrier to education for many girls, as a lack of effective sanitary products restricts girls' involvement in educational and social activities. With the movement of health and sanitation campaign, TZF has adopted a more integrated principle of healthy human beings as well as the wider healthy environment. Eco-friendly sanitary napkins have attracted many concurrent trends for having double benefits. Menstrual hygiene management can be particularly challenging for girls and women in rural areas, where clean water and toilet facilities are often inadequate.
PROPOSED INTERVENTION
TZF has always been the prime promoter of Health and Hygiene particularly in creating awareness about the lack of menstrual hygiene and illness concerns. Keeping a prevalent subjugated dependent scenario of a poor class of families, TZF has launched a program Hamari Jeet in two phases (2019-20 & 2021-22) to make the disadvantaged poor women and adolescent girls aware of Menstruation, Hygiene, and Management together by providing free access to Eco- Friendly sanitary napkins to the unprivileged women. Achieving a satisfactory response from the beneficiaries towards the menstrual health and hygiene program to empower themselves in terms of a healthy standard of living and to integrate the use of sanitary napkins as the basic requirements of women's healthy life who in turn are also determinants to take care of the whole family. TZF has marked the project's operational areas which consist of slums and colonies of working-class families. Being the most ignorant class to the scientific understanding of hygiene and associated illness, these classes have to bear the brunt of deep pockets treatment in absence of precautionary moves. TZF has also approached local Educational Institutions as well as Govt schools to provide Menstrual Education and Hygiene management classes to teenagers to normalize menstruation as a natural event rather than social taboos and to attract the focus of every family towards these for ground-level quality growth of the society. TZF has always opened its collaborative engagement with the Institution to join forces for better and more impactful services to society.

I was quite impressed by what they were doing in the area of Health and Education for the underprivileged. This moment made me realize that this is the best way to channelize my little contribution to the needy.
- K. R. Jagadish
I was privileged to be a part of digital enablement for Govt. school kids’ tie-up with BYJU’s and overwhelmed by the facilities extended to rural kids. They have also helped many needy patients, who cannot pay their medical bills. I wish that you grow and rise, and thankful to Mr. Kote for his vision in social responsibility.
